A cross-gen open-world driving game set in a fictional Redview County.
Need for Speed: Rivals is an open-world racing game developed by Ghost Games and Ghost Games UK. Released on November 19, 2013, Need for Speed: Rivals is the franchise's debut on the next generation consoles, PS4 and Xbox One. It is powered by Frostbite 3 and features a dynamic weather system to make the world feel alive.
The game plays similarly to 2010's Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit by featuring cops versus racers. The open world aspect of the game allows for speed traps as well as several jump points in the world map. Players unlock cars and customize them in which ever way they choose.
With Need for Speed's AllDrive, multiplayer lobbies are no more. Single player and multiplayer are no longer separate game modes. Individual players and their friends always share the same game, same chases and same races. AllDrive can be turned off, if the player prefers to be presented with AI and race alone.
Cops Vs. Racers
A returning game mode that pits players against each other. One team plays as cops, the other as racers. In this mode a team of cops must bust the racers using car weapons and vice versa.
